The years that set the pattern

You are choosing where your child spends a thousand mornings before the Primary Years.

In those mornings a child learns to focus, to try again, and to feel at home away from home. It is one of the few choices fully in your hands.

One idea, two foundations

Most preschools pick one approach. Josiah runs both.

Most preschools offer one or the other. Josiah runs both, every week, under one roof and one teaching team.

A child concentrating on Montessori materials
Mornings

Montessori, every morning

A prepared room, real materials and the time to concentrate. Your child chooses work, masters it, and learns how to learn alone.

  • Mixed-age groups in three-year bands
  • One trained guide who stays the whole year
  • Hands-on materials, not worksheet drilling
  • Independence built one small task at a time

Through the week

Music, Art & Performance

Five disciplines, taught by specialists, woven through the week. Your child finds a voice and a stage to use it on.

  • Vocal training and classical music
  • Dance and movement
  • Art appreciation and studio work
  • Chinese speech and drama
What it adds up to

By K2, they read, count, and perform.

Academics and confidence grow side by side, so your child leaves ready for more than the next classroom.

Academics

Reading and numeracy

Children read, write and handle numbers well before the Primary Years, each at their own pace.

Confidence

Confident on their feet

After years of performance, your child can stand up and be heard. The stage stops being frightening.

Independence

Focused and independent

They finish what they start, and carry that habit of effort into every year that follows.

For six years, since she was a little infant, Josiah was truly our daughter's second home.

Both my children have grown here, and they look forward to school. They have had the same caring teachers the whole way through.

Before you ask

Questions parents ask first.

What are the fees?+

Josiah is a premium full-day programme. Fees vary by centre and your child's stage, and ECDA subsidies may apply for Singapore citizens and PRs. At your visit we'll walk you through the exact monthly fee, your subsidy eligibility, current availability, and what's included before you decide.

What is MAP, exactly?+

Music, Art and Performance: five disciplines taught by specialists, built into the daily rhythm and rotating through the week. Vocal training, dance, art appreciation, classical music, and Chinese speech and drama. It is part of the school day, included in your fees.

How old does my child need to be?+

We take children from two months old in infant care, right through to Kindergarten at five and six. Toddler runs 18 months to 2.5 years, then Nursery (N1 and N2), then K1 and K2. Tampines runs Nursery to K2.

What are your ratios and hours?+

Infant care runs at a 1:3 ratio and toddlers at 1:5, so groups stay small, within ECDA licensing. Centres open 7am to 7pm, covering a full working day.

Can I visit before I decide?+

Please do. A visit takes about 45 minutes in a working classroom. You will see the twofold environment, meet the team, and get honest answers. No pitch, and no follow-up calls unless you ask.

What does a typical morning look like?+

Children settle into a Montessori work cycle, choosing activities and working at their own pace with a guide close by. Music, Art and Performance runs through the week alongside it, with outdoor play and a hot meal cooked on site.

How do you help my child settle in?+

Settling-in follows your child's pace. The same teacher stays with the group all year, so your child builds one trusted relationship instead of meeting someone new each term. Most children find their rhythm within the first week or two.

When should I book, and is there a waitlist?+

Infant and toddler rooms hold the fewest places and fill first for each intake. If your preferred centre or age group is full, we will tell you what is open and when. Booking a visit is the quickest way to see current availability.
